Monday Motivator: Caleb

As I get more involved in fitness, I continuously find new people who motivate and inspire me, both in my daily life and on social media. This blog segment is dedicated to those incredible guys and gals who give their all and have an admirable passion for fitness. These people have positively influenced my life, and I hope they can do the same for you.

This weeks Monday Motivator is Caleb ( Caleb is an advocate for mental health and fitness, and being the same myself, I obviously connect with his content very well! Besides having photos that are aesthetic af, Caleb’s captions are also always meaningful, thought-provoking, and insightful. From finding your why, to tips on maintiang a positive outlook, his captions allow you to reflect on your own life and the world around you in a way that is truly beneficial to becoming your #strongerself.

Here’s just one example of his killer captions:

“Masculinity is incredibly toxic. It always has been. 😞There just hasn’t been a need to change it because men, who hold power, can relish in the benefits of it. Sometimes, without knowing it, we abuse our power and are hurting others. This needs to change🙅🏻‍♂️ As men, we hold power and priviledge over others. Masculinity teaches men that:
-we can’t talk about their feelings. That if you are struggling you are weak. 😔Our mental health is f*cked because of this.
-that empathy is a weakness. Lets normalize violence and glorify it in certain situations.
-In sex and in relationships we feel entitled that we should be the ones who experience pleasure and that we shouldn’t be told no (and that if women want it they are sluts🙅🏻‍♀️We degrade women and judge her by her body and not by her intellect and incredible beauty within. Sex becomes not consentual when we feel entitled and them submissive. There is no grey line here. Our entitlement skews this view.🙁
I have suffered from masculinity. I know I have hurt others (many) from it. 😞I can’t change that. But moving forward I can focus on trying to redefine what masculinity means. And not let it trap me into thinking I have to act a certain way. Especially within fitness culture.
If you are reading this and you are a MALE 🙇🏻‍♂️please take a stance to redefine what masculinity means to you. Use your privilege (being male) to talk about it.
And for all of the women, thank you so much for your patience. 🙌🏻We are so far behind in so many ways and I apologize that you are the ones who have to suffer the most. Believe in us with time we can make change.
✨Your bravery inspires men (including me) to fight against masculinity✨Thank you for sticking through with us.
I hope we can be each others’ allies and take down gender constructs and redefine what PERSONHOOD means for young boys and girls; to unite and create something beautiful.
There is a lot that is left out but I hope that we can help create a world to coexist in: that empowers rather than take away👫
✨Pursue Your #StrongerSelf ✨

Mind Blown?? Yeah, I thought so! I was lucky enough to get a message from Caleb saying I was one of the many women who inspired this post, and let me tell you I was beyond honoured.

This guy is only 19, but wise beyond his years for sure! He also has his own podcast which releases a new episode every Monday, so be sure to check that out too! (Maybe try listening to one to get you through that next cardio session!)

I am so glad that I get the opportunity to follow and interact with Caleb through Instagram and I’m so excited to see what’s next for him.

Keep being the amazing person you are Caleb, you really are changing lives.
